Mix flour, baking soda, cream of tartar and salt. |

Cut butter into cubes, keep cold. Cut into dry ingredients until mixture is crumbly. |

Add raisins. Add egg and milk. |

Mix into dough, do not overmix. Put into freezer to cool if dough gets sticky. |

Roll out or flatten dough to about 2 cm. Cut into rounds or triangles, put on parchment paper lined baking sheet. Put into freezer to cool if dough is sticky. |

Bake in 200C for 15 minutes. Best serve warm, with jam or butter. Last 3 to 4 days. |
